Rhian Phillips

I’m Rhian Phillips, Headteacher of Ysgol Llanhari in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari was established as a Welsh-medium secondary school in 1974. In September 2012, part of the comprehensive school building was converted to accommodate 30 nursery and reception pupils. This was the start of the exciting start of Ysgol Llanhari, a Welsh Medium All-through School for 3-19 year olds on site. The primary department is now fully grown and a ‘First Steps’ nursery group has also been set up on the school site. We work with the providers to ensure wrap around care for the youngest pupils.
