Research

WG has promised further funds (£60-65, 000) for this financial year. HLl has a list of schools who have applied. HLl suggested that would be beneficial to get Heads of AOLE together as well as Headteachers. It was agreed that this was a worthwhile way of proceeding. JO suggested that headteachers should bring people to forum with heads e.g. heads of science. This was agreed by attendees.

HLl mentioned that, before the pandemic, pupils met in Cardiff Bay from all over Wales. This is powerful for pupils and something which could be repeated and would link to Cynefin. Forum funds could be used for this. RT mentioned the 900th anniversary of Dewi Sant, and events in St. Davids in late Sept. It was suggested that Bala could be the venue in the following Spring. EFSM pupils could be heavily subsidised. These events were agreed. WG is not intrusive as regards the spending of funds but HLl will be required to report on Forum activities.

Invoices

CH will resend the email regarding invoices for research which should be sent to manderson@ebbwfawr.co.uk

AOB

HLl mentioned JL’s questionnaire on the Forum website and asked SLTs in schools to respond, as there have been no responses as yet.
DH asked where updates on school information, for example prospectuses, could be sent. This can be forwarded to CH who will liaise with the website technician. It was also suggested that resources and presentations etc from Forum meetings could be collated in a dedicated area on the website. HLl will look into this with the technician.

Next Meeting

14th June. BE-J suggested hiring the house in Glanllyn. Attendees would be invited to arrive in the afternoon of 13th for a barbecue the night before. CH/BE-J to look into

Meeting ended at 2.30 p.m.
