Bio

After a long period of working as a member of the SLT at Ysgol y Preseli I took up my role as Headteacher of Ysgol Caer Elen in February 2021. The  Senior Leadership structure at Caer Elen includes a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, 2 Assistant Headteachers, the ALNCO and the Business Manager. In 2022/2023 our first Year 11 cohort will be sitting their GCSEs.

At Caer Elen we aim to innovate and excel in all aspects of our daily work. We are inclusive and supportive of each other and our ethos is based on the values of kindness, fairness, respect and perseverance. We celebrate our culture and Welsh identity and the fact that the Welsh language is central to all of the school’s activities. We are focused on ensuring that every acorn grows into a strong Oak.

Ysgol Caer Elen

Ysgol Caer Elen is a 3-16 Welsh medium all-through school opened on the outskirts of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire in September 2018. It was established following the closure of Ysgol Glan Cleddau which had operated as the town’s Welsh-medium primary school since 1995.

The new building was built by Willmott Dixon and the facilities are state of the art.
